These terms cover your use of www.storygaffer.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Who we are
The site is run by storygaffer, based in England. You can contact us at info@storygaffer.com.
What storygaffer is
storygaffer makes short videos about football tactics, history and memorable moments. Everything on the site is for general interest and entertainment. Nothing here is betting, financial or professional advice.
Accuracy and corrections
We check our stories against the sources listed on each story page, and say so when a fact is disputed. Even so, we can't promise every detail is complete or up to date, and sources sometimes disagree.
If you spot a mistake, email info@storygaffer.com with the page and what's wrong. If we agree, we'll correct it and say on the page what we changed.
AI narration and illustrations
The narration in our videos is generated with AI voice tools. The pictures are illustrations made to explain each story, not real footage or photographs. Where real people appear, they're shown as generic illustrated figures, not likenesses.
Our content
Unless we say otherwise, the videos, text, graphics and the storygaffer name and logo are © storygaffer. You're welcome to:
- share links to any page
- share our posts using the share buttons on Instagram, Facebook and X
- quote short extracts, as long as you credit storygaffer and link back
Please don't download, re-upload, edit or use our videos or graphics commercially without our written permission. Email us if you'd like to use something.
Other people's names and trademarks
We name clubs, competitions, stadiums and people only to tell their stories. storygaffer is independent and isn't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by FIFA, UEFA, The Football Association, any league, club, stadium or player. All trademarks belong to their owners.
Links to other websites
We link to our sources and to social media. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your data.
Changes and availability
We may update, change or remove content, or pause the site, at any time. We'll try to keep it running smoothly but can't guarantee it will always be available.
Our responsibility to you
We provide the site free of charge and as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using it or relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Credits
The globe uses map data from Natural Earth (public domain) through the world-atlas project, and the d3 and topojson code libraries (ISC and BSD licences). The fonts are Geist and Geist Mono, under the SIL Open Font License.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
